Users that have disabled automatic updates in the play store along with disabling Android System Webview and Chrome have confirmed other apps to run normally. Disabling Google Chrome has also seemed to have fixed issues for other users. Those who are unable to uninstall via normal means may disable Android System Webview in the settings. Several other users have suggested the uninstall of Android System Webview may fix crashing. Recent confirmation from Google spokesperson says company is aware of issue and are working on a fix. Different sources have confirmed this to be a worldwide issue.
